Botanical Medicine

Botanical Medicine is the utilization of plants and plant extracts in order to treat and manage disease/illness. Plants have very powerful chemical properties, as many pharmaceuticals were initially derived from plant extracts. When the plant is used in its whole form, rather than a derivative of one single constituent that is taken and chemically altered/synthesized, the plant retains its innate protective properties, as well. The result is that side effects are lessened and/or eliminated. This is the healing power of nature.

Nutritional Medicine

"Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food." -Hippocrates. Foods have specific chemical properties and healing abilities when consumed in the proper manner for the specific conditions they address. Nutrition is utilized at Hope ND as it is the simplest, most cost-effective, and an extremely effective means to address healing of the body.

Homeopathy

One of the best, most simple definitions for describing the function of homeopathy is to think of it in terms of a vaccination. Although homeopathic remedies are not vaccinations, as they are much smaller dosages of the actual substance. Homeopathic remedies are so minute in actual substance, that they are even smaller than Avogadro's number. These work with the body's energy system in order to "trigger" a physical reaction once encountered. The body combats the substance, in a sense, resulting in a physical effect.
